All of our dates are handmade fresh weekly, and we use FedEx 2-day shipping to get them to your doorstep. Your package will ship the first Monday or Tuesday after the date your order was placed; you can expect your package to arrive within two days. However, please be aware that it is not uncommon for FedEx packages to get delayed, so we cannot guarantee 2-day delivery.

The chocolate on the dates melted. What do I do?
We do our best to ensure Gato Dates arrive at your doorstep in pristine condition. However, delays do happen and sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate (surprise heatwaves are out of our control!), so please excuse us for any melting that may (rarely) occur and be sure to put the dates in the fridge upon arrival.
If the condition that the product arrives in does not meet your expectations, please send us an email (gabriella@gatodates.com or tonya@gatodates.com) with a photo, and we will try to rectify the situation.
Can I return or exchange my shipment?
Given the perishable nature of our offerings, we do not offer returns/exchanges/refunds unless an unintended mistake was made by Gato Dates (e.g., missing or damaged treat). Please ensure you enter all shipping information correctly.
Please note that the chocolate on our dates can occasionally discolor due to the high moisture content of the fresh Medjool date. This is called "bloom" and does not impact the taste of the product. Our product is made fresh weekly and sold/shipped to customers the same week. Products with chocolate bloom are not eligible for a return/exchange/refund.
